Re: 2019 Expression Session

The rain has stopped and looks like the party is on! Some people getting an early down winder in from Grand to Pat. I'll be heading straight to Pat around 5:00 after I finish getting the cabin ready for a party later. We'll have the hot tub going and a bonfire. Everyone is welcome. The address is 18...

Re: 2019 MILLES LAC CROSSING

Roland and Daniel weren't much help in the beer drinking dept. So I only realized a savings of around $75.00 on the beer consumed and brought back. lol. I did however save an additional $200.00 by using my $800.00 tax free border crossing exemption on a transmission that I ordered from California an...

Orderly timed starts with tons of room at the start line. (Once the race starts you have 40 minutes to cross the start line). For those who ...

Re: Anyone thinking about kiting?

The floodway at Dunning is pretty good this year. The "grass" (more like brush) must have been cut in the fall. There is just enough snow to cover it and it's still fairly soft. I got a good ride in between 3:00- 4:00 when the wind seemed to peak. Would have been better if someone else had been ther...

Re: Anyone thinking about kiting?

Sorry to hear you broke arm Brian, but glad it's healed! Wind looks a little light but I'm going to take a short ride out to the floodway at Dunning to see if it's doable.

Re: Cozumel 2018

I hear you Roland. Winter kiting is definitely harder on the legs. Knees in particular. I'm glad to hear you'll be at mille lacs. I hope you can get you're "winter legs" back in shape in time for the race!

Re: Grand Marais Winter Ramp

You missed it Roland! The wind was up in the floodway just after noon until around 2:45 when it dropped suddenly. I got in a powered up 13M session at Kirkness between 1:15 - 2:45. Trying to get my skinny little legs in shape for mille lacs next weekend. lol Looking forward to March and April in the...

Wind forecast and temperature looks ideal for this afternoon. Dan and Stephen doing lessons at Kirkness. I think I'll go there around noon. Haven't been in the floodway yet this year
